Semi-trailer Difference

Feb 15, 2019

Different from a full trailer, the semi-trailer is behind the axle of the vehicle (when the vehicle is evenly loaded) and is equipped with a trailer that can transmit horizontal or vertical forces to the tractor's coupling device! Generally, two axles are trailers and one axle is semi-trailer. Semi-trailer means that there is no power in itself, and the vehicle with the main vehicle is carried by the main vehicle.

Simply put, the trailer is connected to the front truck by a hook. The semi-trailer is connected to the traction seat of the tractor through the traction pin. The common container transporter is a typical semi-trailer train, and the rear loading part is a semi-trailer.

There are also differences in use. The trailers are mainly used for short-distance transportation in factories, ports, terminals, warehouses, etc., while semi-trailers are mainly used for long-distance transportation of goods.
